How do I apply for a property with Realnest?

How are rental payments made?
All payments are processed securely through our tenant portal. You'll see due dates, receipts, and balances in real time. This system helps avoid confusion and keeps your rental history clear — supporting you if you need references in the future.
What if I need a repair or something breaks down?
You can log repairs quickly through our online portal or mobile app — upload photos, track progress, and see updates as trades are booked. For simple handyman-style items, if you're confident and it's safe to do so, we may allow minor fixes with your landlord's consent. But when licensed trades are required (electrical, plumbing, gas, etc.), we must use qualified professionals for safety, compliance, and the long-term care of the property. While parts may sometimes seem inexpensive, professional labour covers skills, insurance, and warranty — ensuring the repair is done properly and reducing risks for both you and the landlord.
Can I have a pet in the property?
Pets are considered in line with NSW tenancy laws and your landlord's instructions. Applications for pets can be made at the time of applying or during your tenancy — we'll liaise with the landlord and strata (if applicable) to provide a fair, timely answer.
How do inspections work?
We carry out routine inspections to make sure the property is being cared for and to pick up any maintenance early. These are mainly visual inspections — we're not builders or trades, but we flag issues to landlords quickly. You'll always get notice in advance, and we keep the process respectful and efficient.
What happens at the end of my lease?
